Happy November, everybody!

For some, November brings to mind hot cider, cold days (snow!!!), and celebrating Thanksgiving with family and wayyyy too much food.

For those of us in the publishing industry, it is a time of innovation, creativity, stress, frustration, and a labor of love.

A huge shout-out to all the amazing authors out there who are participating in NaNoWriMo! And to those diving in for the first time or determined to use this opportunity to finally finish that first novel, I’m so proud of you! I can’t wait to see all the amazing stories you put down on paper.

In honor of all of you working to the bone to make 50k in the next month, I’m going to be celebrating by sending out tips, tricks, and inspiration to help you on your journey.

I had this whole first blog post planned to outline some beginning tips on how to get started, but honestly, I LOVE this post from Bustle about “winning” NaNoWriMo, and I think it paints the perfect picture of how to dive into this month with your best foot forward.
